Feasting and fasting from the book of Luke

In Luke's gospel, we see Jesus eating meals with a wide range of people. Through these meals, we learn that those who have repented and entered God's kingdom are made joyful, and welcomed to share God's feast. And those who have been welcomed by God are hospitable to others, sharing the grace of God they have received with others. Alongside the theme of feasting, we also find teaching on fasting. Giving up food to pray and seek more of God is appropriate as we wait in this broken world for God's kingdom to fully come.
